SS1 Female Student Stabs Classmate In The Eye For Refusing To Join CultA teenage female cultist identified simply as Josephine,as well as her gang members have allegedly damaged the right eye of one Lilian Friday, who is an SS1 student of Community Secondary School Otuoke, Bayelsa State.
The bizzare incident which occurred yesterday evening left many shocked as it was revealed that the suspected cultist, also an SS1 student of the same secondary school is said to have been mounting pressure and persuading Lilian to join her cult group.

The victim’s persistent refusal provoked the suspect and she vowed to disfigure Lillian’s face.
Lilian was attacked late yesterday, while returning from her uncle’s residence place when she met her classmate who insisted that she must join her cult group.
Consequently, the two classmates started fighting, and then the suspect alerted her gang members, who came along and had the victim held to the ground, stabbed her right eye and then took off.
Sadly, efforts to arrest the suspect have not been successful, as the Otuoke community is yet to grant arrest warrant to the parents of the victim, because it is against their practice for someone to make arrest in the community without the approval of its leadership.
A foundation owner has shared on social media, the nude picture of a lady whom he said is one of those who usually request for help from him on his platform.
He however censored her body but revealed her face to serve as a warning to others who might to send him nudes.
According to him, this particular lady threatened to send him the nudes if he didn’t reply her messages – he presumably didn’t reply her and so she carried out her threat.
He wrote,
After warning severally on this platform that Im receiving too many nudes from those requesting for help, its driving me crazy and distracting. My phone saves pics automatically..
I’m afraid to show people things on my phone cos I don’t know how many more naked bodies would have lined up again since the last time I deleted.
We have agreed on this forum to expose them, ba?
This girl is a scape goat cos hers came as a threat.
Pls stop people, just stop. There’s no shape you wanna show that I’ve never seen before, you cannot lure me into approving you.
Anyways, if you have sent me naked pics because I have not opened your mail, go and delete. Next time I will show your whole body, name and handle. I will not bring this post down.
Maybe the fear of being exposed will make people stop.
Abi how do we combat men that request for sex before helping when y’all send unrequested nudes to strangers.
Lets put on our bras and pants for now.
Pls lets do normal.

The operatives of Rapid Response Squad have arrested four suspects in Ondo, Edo and Osun States for retailing leaked WASSCE May/June, 2018 Examination question papers on websites and whatsapps platforms.
The suspects namely; Samuel Kayode, 28-year-old from Ondo State, Adebayo Ifeoluwa, 17-year-old from Osun State, Alayande Ahmed and Elusode Festus, 20 years from Edo State were all arrested in their respective states. Samuel Kayode, a part time teacher in two secondary schools based in Ilesa, disclosed that he also taught Physics and Mathematics in a private tutorial class where he assisted candidates who are planning to write the WASSCE examination with questions and already prepared answers for the candidates.
According to Samuel, after working as a tutorial teacher for seven years, he got a part-time employment in two private schools in Ilesa, Osun State, where he also helped students preparing for WASSCE with leaked questions and prepared answers, adding that he did this to make a living
“I got a part-time teaching job when I couldn’t secure a Government teaching job after graduating for NCE and couldn’t settle for the little salary I’m been paid by my employers, so I decided to help myself with what I have been doing as a tutorial teacher by helping lazy students source for WASSCE examination question and answer via some online platforms that deal in the illegal business.
After registering candidates in their various centers, I then liaise with some anonymous people who we call ‘Web Masters’. The Web Masters have insiders in various examination boards in the country with leaked questions paper and buy such from them”, he explained.
“There are many websites operated by the Web Masters, where leaked WASSCE questions and prepared answers are sold to subscribing candidates. Some of these websites include;,, www., www. and
They also hawk NECO, GCE and JAMB examinations papers with answers”, he stated.
He explained further, “the contact person on Web master is called ‘Dan’ who doesn’t pick calls but only deal on text messages and WhatsApp messages. Mr. Dan usually sell answers via WhatsApp or issues a quick login password that can be issued on the website and immediately redirect the user to the page where the already prepared answers are.
I then retail the answers have bought from Mr. Dan to candidate customers who I coordinate carefully on a WhatsApp platform named ‘WAEC VIP’ where candidates waits patiently to receive the answers to the question after sending to me a #400 recharge cards of any network.
I demand for N400 recharge card from candidate for general subject while I charge N800 for Mathematics and English language”
In his own confession, Adebayo Ifeoluwa, 17 years and 200 level Accounting student of the Federal University of Technology Akure, FUTA said he sold leaked WASSCE examination questions and answers to a group on WhatsApp called ‘MCC’ where candidates payed a recharge card of N400 to get examination questions and answers.
“Sometime this year, just before the on-going WASSCE examination, I belong to a sports betting WhatsApp group where we forecast for games. One of the member therein sent a broadcast about how to get WASSCE questions and left a WhatsApp link which I joined before thinking of creating my own ‘MCC’ after a thoughtful assumption of how profitable the venture looks”.
Also, Elusode Festus from Ekpoma in Edo State failed school certificate examination before becoming an apprentice at a Welding and metal fabrication shop, also chose the retailing of leaked WASSCE question and answer as a side hustle.
The 22 year Elusode said he got to know about the deal on a website where he downloaded songs before a pop asking if you want to receive exam result, click here which he did and dully registered so as to start the retailing of the answers among candidates in the area.
On his own part, Alayande Ahmad, said “I got to know about WASSCE questions and answers racketeering on a website after dropping out of secondary at SS2 due to lack of funds but I promised to assist my friends who were preparing to sit for WASSCE at all cost.
I contacted an admin on a WhatsApp group where answers were being sold to candidates who registered with him after sending to him a N400 recharge card. The subscribers receive questions and answers few hours before their examination”.
Parading the suspect, Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Imohimi Edgal advised parents to monitor their wards preparation for examination instead of indulging them in examination malpractices.
The suspects have been transferred to the State CID for further investigations.
A Nigerian food vendor was left heartbroken and in tears after she was accused of using water from the mortuary to cook food at the Federal Polytechnic Oko in Anambra state.

A journalist, Ngwu Victor Bright, paid the distressed woman, Nwanyi Nanka a visit and consoled her over what he labelled a rumor to tarnish her image.
Read what Ngwu Victor Bright shared on Facebook;
This woman here is called NWANYI NANKA, every Staffs and students in Fed Poly Oko know what am saying. She sell foods like Rice, Beans,Plantain, Meat etc. She cooks like three coolers of rice every day but finish selling before 2 pm.
WHAT MADE HER FOOD OUTSTANDING? Nwanyi Nanka is a very jovial and neat woman, she serves food as mothers serves food for their children, the meat she serves is so sizeable that it can make three meats compare to other sellers.
She even sells on credit to students whom she know can not afford it at that moment. These features made her very outstanding more than any other seller and these brought jealousy and envy among her co food sellers. Some lecturers can not settle down without demanding for her food including students.
Just about two days ago some students were paid to tarnish her image, they went to social media proclaiming that some group of Police invaded school and arrested Nwanyi Nanka for using water from mortuary to cook, they added that it has been confirmed fact.

He continued,
When i saw this on Facebook and WhatsApp, I couldn’t believe it, as a certified journalist I had to wait till the next morning and I called one of my students and asked her to check if Nwanyi Nanka is at her shop, she confirmed that she was there but added she has been crying since morning because she came to sell as usual not knowing what people have done with her name, students gathered in ewe watching her as a thief just for her to discovered what her enemies have done with her name.
I spoke with her and consoled her also but why on earth will someone be so wicked to tarnish someones hard earned reputation.. This world is so cruel and some students including some mass com students who are supposed to verify the rumors couldn’t wait for verification instead they started broadcasting and feeding people with fallacy .
This in journalism is called defamation and a very punishable offence. PLEASE DON’T ALWAYS JUMP INTO CONCLUSION, ALWAYS VERIFY EVERY INFORMATION. THANKS.
I am Comr Victor Chinonso…certified journalist

It is tears and pain for the family members of a 21-year-old student of Cross River State University of Technology (CRUTEC) who died from a kerosene explosion less than two weeks after her matriculation in Cross River State.
The deceased, Miss Eke Ukam Ogholo, was killed on Wednesday evening when she attempted to light a lantern after buying kerosene from a filling station, opposite her home at Ikot Nkebre.
One of her neighbours, simply identified as Pamela, said an explosion was heard from Eke’s house around 8pm. Neighbours rushed to the scene and found Eke in a pool of blood.
Pamela said: “It was unfortunate because Eke just matriculated at CRUTEC on April 9, which was on a Monday. We all went to share the moment of joy with her. Today is just April 25, and she’s now dead, about to be buried.”
Another neighbour, who wishes to remain anonymous, said: “The incident was the fifth in Ikot Nkebre community. Four people had earlier died, while a n o t h e r victim is in the hospital. Even the one in the hospital may not survive because of the degree of injuries she sustained. Before, people used to say that we should buy kerosene from filling stations. But now, people are dying from kerosene bought at filling stations.”
Eke was taken to her Biase home for burial yesterday as neighbours, friends and the university community continued to mourn her.

The WhatsApp conversation shows the intimate rapport between the lovely mother and daughter – as seen in the convo thread, the singer professes her love for her daughter and tries to explain to her why she sometimes yells at her.
The chat then takes a new mischievous turn as Waje had to delete a message to keep her daughter from showing it to her grandmother – Waje’s mother – as evidence.

The story has been told of Lydia Joshua, a Chibok schoolgirl who spent as many as three long years in Boko Haram captivity.
Lydia Joshua, one of the 276 girls kidnapped at Government Girls Secondary School, Chibok, Borno state, on April 14, 2014, has disclosed that during the three years she spent in the captivity, she only drank water when it rained.
Joshua was among the captives released through a negotiation with the Boko Haram sect in 2017. She is now trying to adjust to life outside the strange environment. She narrated her experience in bondage and the plight of those who are yet to be free. Though TheCable could not freely speak to her largely due to certain governmental restrictions, her parents and loved ones were happy and enthusiastic to retell what she had told them of the dark years.
Matina Butu, the victim’s aunt told TheCable that the tales were heart-wrenching.
“The girls suffered, especially the ones who refused to marry Boko Haram. The Boko Haram people would ask the girls to raise their hands if they wanted to marry any of the men. The girls who did not express interest were starved,” said Butu who left Borno for Lagos as a result of Boko Haram activities.
“When it rained, they would be drenched and their clothes would dry up on their bodies. It is also when it rains that they get to drink water. Lydia told her stories of sleeping beside snakes, going several days without food and sewing clothes with what she described as hand needles.
“They slept on flooded floors for three years. It’s only God that kept Lydia alive and I am still shocked. Lydia told me they ate leaves and when they gave them food, it was never enough until the negotiations for their release started taking place and they started giving them food.”
Butu also spoke about the trauma of Lydia’s absence and the effect of insurgency on her family.
Although she is just 26 years old, five years older than her niece, Butu is a widow with three children.

She narrated how the insurgents killed her husband.
“Our village is empty. Nobody is there, people have gone to different places. They also took our farms so that we cannot feed any longer,” she said.
“They (Boko Haram) are leaving widows of women. They will come to your house and kill your husband and leave you alone to take care of the children. They killed my husband and I am left alone with three children take care of.”
She disclosed that Lydia’s grandfather died suddenly in 2014 because he was traumatised.
“His granddaughter had been kidnapped and shortly after, his son was beheaded in front of him,” she said.
Yakubu Amos, Lydia’s boyfriend, got the test of his life when Boko Haram abducted her. A young man full of life, he could have moved on and found someone else but like a loyal partner, he stood by her all through the years in bondage. He told TheCable of his plans to marry her after school. His eyes lit up when he spoke about the time Lydia came to visit her parents in Lagos, last December.
