The Federal government has begun payment
of stipends to all the Ex-NYSC Corp members ranging from 2000-2016
across the nation, the finance minister stated during the Youth
Empowerment Summit.
This was disclosed in a statement released by the Special Assistant to Finance Minister Kemi Adeosun, Laolu Akande on Monday.
According to the statement, some of the
states have already been funded and the participants will starts to
receive bank alerts through the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT).
He also stated that over 700,000
beneficiaries of the N-Power programme, close to 50% of the graduates,
have now been physically verified, and started receiving their monthly
stipends of N30,000 over the previous months.
