The general public is by this notice informed of their current status and to please note that anybody who transacts any business with them as undergraduates of FUTO does so at his/her own risk.

A student of Osun State University, Sheyi Sheyi took to his Facebook page bragging about an indecent act of raping a girl
He revealed, the victim in question thought he was a nice person, not until they were together alone in a room, and he raped her. He wrote: “She thought am nice. Not until I raped her. Odun odun o lanrinrin” (Odun Odun means, it was sweet).

Nigerian reaction on the post:
A comment reads: Social media has unleashed and exposed a lot of deranged homo sapiens…FYI Rapes a CRIMINAL OFFENCE which you have just admitted to Folake Oyetosho….I am too aghast and upset to engage this moron… Were you to be in saner climes you will be in your way to languishing in prison.
Another comment read: You are such a mad and stupid boy for writing this. You think you can come on Facebook and spew rubbish? Irresponsible idiot.
Another comment reads: The bad thing is the idiot might take it down but people screenshot it please. Enough screenshots will make him think twice before posting nonsense next time.
Another comment: What nonsense is this? Are you in your correct senses? You are boasting about raping a girl? And you think it’s one big joke.

With a disheartening heart, we write to inform you of the Demise of Ariyibi Ayomide, a Student of Unilag, From the faculty of business administration in department of Employee Relations and Human Resources Management (ER & HRM), 100 Level.

Full story:
An incident happened in her room (Amina Hostel) which involved the missing of belongings (which includes make up and clothes) of another girl in d same room. On Thursday, some of the belongings of d fellow room mate was found in Ayomide's bag ( scattered in three different bags - make up in one of of her bag, clothes in another bag and clothes in another bag making 3 of Ayomide's bag). As a result the roommates disgraced Ayo and called her many names( relating to a thief) and disgraced her publicly. Ayomide called her mum and her mum came down next day( Friday) to settle d issue. The make up was valued at #2000 in which Her mum paid. After that, her mum told her to pack her bags and follow her home which she did but as she was going d room mates shouted on her and called her so many names.

Her mum took her home and went back to work (her mum is a unilag staff). Ayomide was d only one left at home when she took sniper in the afternoon. Her mum came back in d evening and saw her child in a critical state. So she asked what happened to her; Ayomide just stretched her hand to do bottle of d sniper she took. Immediately her mum gave her palm oil( epo in yoruba) but results were not forthcoming. So she rushed her to a medical centre at ebute metta, still results were not favourable, she was then taken to Luth ( Medilag). Ayo gave up in LUTH around after 7 yesterday.
This gist will show you the Gateway if you read it properly because the whisper are so strong and all over, you cannot miss it.....

The governor of a state has impregnated a Corps member serving in the state according to rumour mongers oh....

This Corps member according to whisperings belongs to either batch B or C of the present batch and while some say the particular governors office is her PPA whilst others whisper that the Corps members father is the gov paddy and that is how they met and why the governor will not mess her up.

The lady has allegedly been flown to the abroad at the moment but this is unconfirmed.

This gist is as light as leggings on a cold cold day and has been swept under the carpet. The governor is very dark skinned and wears funny caps.
The begining of his last name sounds like what belongs to a man in Eastern Nigeria......The Opposite of this is ''Otu Nne gi''

I cannot mention names because I wasnt in ''za oza room with zem''.

And Note that there is NO CLUE here referring to any gov oh...This is just tips until the story (If any)breaks out and if not, someone can remodel this into a movie Synopsis,I will not mind.

Will there be any press release on this?I didnt call anybodys name now!

Have a nice day.

There was confusion at UI,yesterday afternoon, following the circulation ‎of a letter purportedly written to all staff by al-wilayat al-Islamiyya Gharb Afriqiyyah, a Boko Haram group, threatening to wreak monumental havoc through ceaseless bombings of the institution, beginning from today.
According to the message, the group said that students and staff were their targets. The university’s sin is that it is first in the country that brought in and entrenched western education.
While some lecturers got the mail through their institutional e-mail addresses, others were copied through social platforms such as WhatsApp to share the letter. In the alleged mail, the group said:
You people are an embarrassment to Nigeria and are the people that brought in western education to Nigeria. .
You doomed this nation and in turn you all are going to be doomed. Most of you are going to die before Independence Day. You will not spend the Independence Day in peace, you and your students.

Detonation will start going from tomorrow till Independence Day and there is nothing you can do as we are among you. Even your little searches at the gate won’t do anything. By the time we are through with you, your government will be sorry.”
Security has been strengthened at the university gates with scanning and ‘stop and search’ being carried out. Police Public Relations Officer of the state police command, Adekunle Ajisebutu, said the command had received the information and had responded appropriately.
In Nigeria, many churches are into the educational sector, so it is not strange to see churches build schools, either primary schools, secondary or even institutions of higher learning. What is strange however is the fact that most of these institutions which turn out to be private universities, turn around and charge fees that are well out of the reach of the average Nigerian. So what then happens is that church members whose tithes and offerings went into the building of the universities will not be able in the long run to afford to send their children to those schools. Here are some examples of such schools:
1. Bowen university
Bowen University is owned and operated by the Nigerian Baptist Convention. Located at Iwo in Osun state.
For Bowen university their school fees are as follows:

– For students in the law faculty, a minimum of N 500,000 must be paid from the session fees in the first semester before registration.

– For students in the medicine and surgery department (pre-clinical) , all fees and levies must be fully paid at the beginning of the first semester while a minimum of N 800,000 must be paid before registration.
– For students in the medicine and surgery department (clinical) , all fees and levies must be fully paid at the beginning of the first semester while a minimum of N 1,000,000 must be paid before registration.
2. Covenant university

While speaking with Punch yesterday, Demianus Ojijeogu, head, Public Affairs, WAEC, revealed that two secondary schools in Imo state have been barred from registering as examination centres for the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and also been barred from presenting their pupils as candidates in any of its examinations for a period of five years but declined to name the affected schools.
Ojijeogu, who revealed that a supervisor was assaulted in one of the Imo schools while WAEC officials were “locked out for more than 30 minutes in the second school obviously to perpetrate examination malpractice”, said:
“We don’t usually name the schools because we refer to them by their centre numbers. For the derecognised schools, examination can still hold in the school but we will not use their teachers as invigilator.

“There are 28 of those schools across the country and they can still reapply after two years, telling us what they have put in place to prevent a recurrence of examination malpractice.”
The Nigeria Examinations Committee (NEC) of the WAEC recently approved recommended sanctions for cases of exam malpractice.
A communique was issued to this effect at the end of the 62nd meeting of NEC WAEC held in Lagos.

A Nigerian Twitter user, Dolapo, has taken to the social media platform to share a story of how one of University of Ibadan's best graduating students inherited a royal curse. According to Dolapo, the graduate struggled to get a job even as a cleaner after graduating, and had to fall back to a Prophet, who told him where his problem was coming from.

Dolapo disclosed that the curse was from the guy's ex-girlfriend, who slept with a promiscuous Yoruba King. Here's his story;

"I'm gonna share this story real quick. Y'al should be veeeeeery careful!
So there is this one very brilliant dude. Graduated at UI top 5% of his class and struggled to get even a job as a cleaner.

After 5 years he went to see a prophet who told him he is carrying a 'royal' curse. Dude is not even royalty so he was confused.
They later found out his ex gf slept with a yahoo boy . But the curse wasn't from him. It was from a runs girl the yahoo boy slept with.

So apparently the runs girl slept with a very promiscuous Yoruba king. And each time this girls sleep with the king, they leave with sumtin.

Sleeping with young girls gives the king some sort of power. And anybody that sleeps with them carries that same curse. Keeps spreading.
So many people are struggling in life and don't know where it's coming from. Make God just dey protect us oooo.
Late Miss Regina is one of the unsung casualties of the crises that erupted at the University of Port Harcourt, Monday, which left at least one person died.

The Bio Medical Technology undergraduate who was Asthmatic allegedly died as a result of Tear gas sprayed by men of the Nigerian Police Force during the students protest over the increment of their school fees and other sundry policies.
May her soul rest in peace. Amen!
A final year Business Administration undergraduate of a privately owned University in Oghara (name withheld) in Delta State, on Sunday allegedly ran mad after she was reportedly pummeled by her lover boyfriend.
Reports said her roommates (names withheld) screamed for help when the undergraduate who hails from Benin city, Edo State allegedly undressed herself immediately she stepped out of her boyfriend’s room few miles away from their hostels.
It was gathered that the suspected insane undergraduate allegedly took her phone out of bag and slammed it on the floor naked, brought out her clothes and set fire on them before the onlookers rescued her.

An eye witness, Joy Tobi said that her roommate had tried to calm her down when it started like a joke, unfortunately, she had gone too far with the unfolding suspected madness, calling “saviour, saviour, look at what you have done”.
She was said to have been held by some strongmen hired by the school authorities and was later taken away to the hospital when she is at present responding to treatment.
Sources said it was the third time students have been allegedly been in mad drama, especially the female students who had formed the habit of “taking” from men without submitting to love making.
But a lecturer who did not want his name in the print, dispelled as untrue, adding madness is often associated with spiritual evil acts and the victim’s case might be of the same act.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB has said that the Computer-Based Test adopted in the forthcoming Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) would save the examination body about N5 billion.

Registrar of JAMB, Professor Ishaq Oloyede stated this Tuesday at a press briefing on the training of its examination officials in Abuja.

Oloyede noted that under his watch, JAMB would deploy cost-effective measures to deliver on its statutory mandate.

“We have tried our best as much as we can, taking efficiency as the watchword as far as the conduct of examination is concerned because we believe this country deserve the best.

All we have been trying to do is to do things that will not make Nigeria inferior in the comity of examination bodies. All we’ve been trying to do is to find the most efficient way to conduct our examinations,” Oloyede said.

“Instead of spending billions on our examinations, we can spend millions and achieve better results. That is all I have been struggling to do, to make sure that instead of collecting N7 billion and spending N6.8 billion in the conduct of examination, we should be able to save at least N5 billion,” he stressed.

While noting that there are skepticism on the part of some Nigerians about the workings of new innovations, the Registrar said he is optimistic of taking JAMB to the next level, regardless of challenges.

“Yes, some people argue that in Nigeria, there are many variables that you cannot determine. I have strong faith in this country and I believe that whatever works in normal places will work in Nigeria,” he added.

On the 2017 UTME slated to begin on May 13, Oloyede said his team is prepared to conduct a hitch-free examination across all centres of the country. “I and my colleagues in JAMB management have tried our best and have prepared as much as we can. We also believe in our partners, MTN and Airtel which are our two service providers in the conduct of this examination and I want to appeal to them to see this as a national assignment.”

On the antics of fifth columnists bent on pulling him down, Oloyede said he’s fully aware of their mission, noting that only recently; they accused the Board of ‘poor planning and incompetence.’ But for us, what we are out to do is to give the best of our services to this great nation of ours. I need not be the Registrar of JAMB if there would be no change positively.”

He added that the CBT which was adopted a few years ago was actually his initiative while holding sway as Vice Chancellor, University of Ilorin. “CBT started at the University of Ilorin in 2007 and by the grace of God, I was the Vice Chancellor who started it. When JAMB was to start the CBT, it was my Deputy Vice Chancellor who was invited to deliver a lecture on ‘The Roadmap to CBT: The University of Ilorin Example.’”

Meanwhile, the mock test earlier shelved by JAMB is set to hold this Saturday 29th April, 2017 and Oloyede said he’s optimistic the challenges which scuttled the initial exercise would be taken care of this time.
