Intimate movies seem so yesterday in some parts of Nairobi. Weeks of investigations have uncovered shocking scenes of people paying to watch live sex in Makina, Gatwekera and Laini Saba areas in Kibera....

Several video dens have turned to ‘broadcasting’ live shows where residents pay as little as Sh150 to watch men and young girls have Fun for at least 15 minutes per session.

Gatwekera slum in Kibera is a jumble of rusted metal roofs that stretches to the horizon. At night, paths in the slum belong to police, muggers, and lately, enthusiastic men who throng video dens to watch live Intimacy.

During the day, men frequent the mabati video dens to watch the latest flick or football game, but at night, the video dens are turned into a stage where people pay to watch live Intimacy, courtesy of shrewd twisted youthful entrepreneurs.

Once inside the packed video den, which can accommodate up to 20 people, bulbs are yanked off their holders, leaving a lone bulb hanging over the stage. The girls, sourced locally, are barely past their teens.
“A show usually has two or three girls. Once the man finishes, people have to pay another Sh150 to watch the girl have affair with a second man,” reveals our source, who was born, raised, and still lives in Ayany area.
The girls, he says, are usually school dropouts.

This was revealed by the Minister of State for Education, Professor Anthony Onwuka at the 31st convocation ceremony of the University of Portharcourt, (UNIPORT).

According to him, “We must stop to continue housing adventurers, who have no business remaining in the universities beyond the time specified for their studies in the universities.

In that wise, it is being proposed that at the end of this academic year, any student with less than 0.5 CGPA should cease to be a student of the university and should be shown the way out. The universities must continue to have people who are serious in what they have come to do. If you have less than 0.5 in your CGPA, you are out. You are out for good so that the space will be left for those who have come to do serious business"he said

When has it become a must for a Corper to wear jacket? The story as shared by a corps member, Angel Eluna:
“This is just an example of how corpers are bn treated in Ekiti state. Someone will leave his or her state only 2b molested by NYSC officials who are supposed 2 make dem feel relaxed in an unknown state

An NYSC official in Ado Ekiti brutalized me cos he said i didn’t wear my jacket, of which most of d kits given to me wasn’t my size.

It is only in Ekiti state where Man-O-war hit corpers, it is only in Ekiti state where ppl who don’t matter have d right 2 brutalize one who has gone 2ru d four walls of d university.

If this is d way corpers will b treated in their state of service, I hereby pledge my support 4d scrapping of NYSC. Leave us in our parents houses, rather than taking us 2 places where we will b maltreated.”

Mrs. Elizabeth Orefuwa, the 2017 Lagos State University Best Graduating Student has delivered a baby girl barely 24 hours after the award during the 21st convocation ceremony of the institution.

The news of Elizabeth who was already pregnant as she was awarded yesterday as the Best Graduating Student delivery of a baby girl broke today during the convocation of the of the Postgraduate Diploma, Masters and Doctorate degrees at the University, News Punch learned reliably.

Elizabeth, 29, graduated with a 4.74 cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) making her the best graduating student in Lagos State University, has revealed that it was no easy road for her. According to her, she wrote the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) 7 times before finally gaining admission into the tertiary institution.
The Accounting Education graduate made this revelation at the institution's 21st convocation ceremony held on Wednesday. According to her, she had always wanted to be an accountant but when she could not gain admission into the university after years of trying, she started a professional career in accounting.

“The journey through the institution was not easy; it took me seven years of writing the UTME before I finally gained admission in 2012. I also applied for direct entry three times at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. During this period of waiting, I started professional career at the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria (ICAN) in 2007 and became qualified as an Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) in 2010,’’ she said.

She explained that she did not relent in her effort to get a university education because she was determined and her father also motivated her to get a university education despite having a professional certificate in Accounting. She had wanted to study Accounting but ended up in Accounting education, however, she had no idea she would graduate with the best result overall in the school.

"My aim is to get my first degree certificate after several years of waiting and to satisfy my dad, who has been insisting on academic certificate before professional certificate. He would always say to me then that I have put the cart before the horse. However, what kept me going was self-belief, focus and determination bearing in mind that I am not competing with other but with my own capabilities."

Orefuwa got married in her final year and is now pregnant. Surprisingly, her increased responsibilities as a wife did not affect her academic performance. If anything, it even made her better.

She said: “I had a CGPA of 4.72 before marriage and I graduated with 4.74 point. I got married during my final year in 2015 and my husband was very supportive throughout that period.’’

She intends to teach accounting and also practise accounting as a profession.

We brought you reports some few minutes ago about the death of a Unilag Chemistry Education Student, Tope who died after a night out with an unidentified man.
We’ve gotten pictures of the student… and more details. Her name is Temitope Omolara and she was a 100 level Chemistry Education student of Unilag.
Temitope Omolara reportedly started “behaving in a strange way” after going out with an unidentified man. Some say the man was her sugar daddy. We have not been able to independently verify this claim.
As at Monday, she appeared sick. This worried her friends. “I’ll be fine,” she reportedly told one, only to die on Thursday night at an hospital off campus. She was buried on Friday

Temitope’s passing, according to sources, wasn’t easy. She was reportedly in pains and “even vomited blood
Friends say she might have fallen victim to ritual killers. We don’t know how that happened, if that was what happened.
Temitope’s death has thrown the Faculty of Education into shock as UNILAG prepares for another examination period. She was a 100 Level student of Chemistry Education.
While some said Temitope was a “runs girl” who stumbled across the wrong “sugar daddy”, Micheal Ogunlaja, argued otherwise.
“I knew her for more than two years,” Ogunlaja wrote in a Facebook post the day Temitope was buried.
“Tope was a good girl, humble, nice and jovial lady. She was a prestigious lady ready to sacrifice everything for someone. I remember those moment we spent together reading, joking, and tackling serious issues.
“Memories of you can never vanish from my life. You never tell me you will go this soon. It was a shock when I heard your death. Why would death pick you? The last time we saw, we talked, joke, laughed and sobered together not knowing that was the last time we were gonna to see. Indeed we lost icon, an Akokite.
“May your gentle soul rest in peace,” he wrote.

he real cause why a beautiful final year student of University of Ghana jumped to her death yesterday has been revealed by her parents.
Jennifer Nyarko jumped to her death yesterday
Finally, it has been revealed what made a final year student jump to her death yesterday. According to investigation by Daily Graphic, the Level 400 student of the University of Ghana jumped to her death as a result of mental disorder she had suffered for the past five years.
The deceased, Jennifer Nyarko, 23, was an Agriculture and Consumer Science student of the university.
She is said to have fallen from the fourth floor of the Akuafo Hall Annex A and was found by a student who was on her way to pray.
The passer-by, who found the victim lying motionless in a pool of blood, raised an alarm which attracted other students who were either sleeping or getting ready for lectures in the early hours of the day.

Police called
Confirming the incident to the Daily Graphic, the Legon District Commander, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Mr Emmanuel Ofori Anokye, said the victim was pronounced dead at the Legon Hospital.
He said the police received distress phone calls about the incident around 5 a.m., and a team of policemen was immediately despatched to the scene.
The victim was taken to the Legon Hospital in the hospital’s ambulance but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The Crime Scene Unit of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service was also informed, and when the Daily Graphic arrived at the crime scene, experts were busily working.
Mr Anokye said the police had begun investigations into the circumstances that led to death of the student.

Following the incident, speculations were rife on campus that the victim had been suffering from bipolar disorder, while others claimed the fate of the student could have been as a result of a broken heart.
One of her roommates told the Daily Graphic that Miss Nyarko was on the phone throughout the night before her death, and it was suspected that she was talking to a man until she (the roommate) slept.
The mobile phone was found on the victim’s bed, and the police said the last caller was a female friend who confirmed to the police that miss Nyarko had called her to inform her pastor to pray for her that night since she was having an attack.

Victim’s father
The father of the victim, Mr William Nyarko, who was contacted by the police, arrived at the Legon Police Station later, in the company of the victim’s mother for interrogation and to assist the police in their investigations.
During interrogation, Mr Nyarko, a retiree, is said to have told the police that his daughter had been struggling with a mental disorder since 2012 when she gained admission to the university.
Mr Nyarko is said to have told the police that his daughter, at a point, had to defer her course for one year as a result of her condition.
The father of the victim also told the police that she had visited them during the weekend and also spent the March 6, 2017 holiday with them at their Adentan residence, in Accra.
He said his daughter left for school last Tuesday morning only for them to receive a call announcing her death yesterday morning.
